Trading means many things to many people, but at Upside, we see it as the process of fulfilment.
When you trade you place an order, or a series of orders, into the market. The orders are then executed and filled, the trades then settle two or three days later, and the cash moves to the seller and the shares to the buyer at the price agreed at the moment in time.
This action of buying and selling is trading.
At Upside we see this as just one step in a much bigger journey of investing, and while important, we think you should spend more time proportionately, finding your investments than trading.
Overtrading is one of the fastest ways to lose money.
